OLO is born from the best vines planted in the Basto sub-region. It is a white inspired by the Olo river, one of the most beautiful rivers in the Vinho Verde region, with impressive landscapes of granite and waterfalls ("fisgas"). The abundance of water and granite in this area, contribute to the natural freshness and strong minerality of the terroir of this region. To produce this wine, we selected the finest and most delicate winemaking in order to create a serious, complex and very harmonious wine.
The various grape varieties that make up this wine, Avesso, Arinto, Trajadura and Alvarinho, were pressed and fermented together and at low temperatures, in stainless steel vats, for 10 months. At the end, a small amount of Alvarinho fermented in barrels was added to the blend.
With a very light and almost crystalline color, OLO shows a very complex and extremely precise aroma, with notes of stone, lemon, white fruit and ginger.
An extremely mineral and delicate white, but thanks to its acidity it provides a firm, intense and energetic finish.
Perhaps it is the finest and most vibrant harvest we have ever launched, it is a white wine that has character, tense and with a very good balance between sweetness and acidity.
Although with different aromas from the Riesling variety, it reminds us a lot of fine Mosel wines for their delicacy and harmony.
