The year 2015 was characterised as a year of good quantity but higher quality. Everything indicated a heterogeneous year, due to a dry spring that lasted throughout the summer. However, in the month of August there were optimal morning humidities so that the end of maturation could take place without delay.
VINIFICATION: The grapes from several very old vineyards in the Alto Douro Vinhateiro (Mêda), were pressed in a whole bunch in order to extract the freshest and most vibrant must possible. Keeping the origin of each vineyard, the must followed the alcoholic fermentation in new French oak barrels 500L. Fermentation process from indigenous yeasts, brings more complexity and character to the wines. Long maturation in total lees (12 months). Partial malolactic perfumes the route of Borgonese inspiration.
TASTING NOTES: Concise, elegant, frank, expressive. Fresh notes of citrus with great notoriety, lime, grapefruit, flower, white fruit, impeccable trace of pure minerality. Wide mouth, serious, exuberant acidity, salty trace, long.
