Jack Daniel's is known for being a well crafted, smooth sippin' Tennessee Whiskey. It's become known for something else along the way: the iconic black and white label. But Jack's Old No. 7 Label wasn't always so black and white. Some time before 1904 the bottles were a rather unexpected shade of green with an eye-catching gold trim. Exactly when this label was used is no longer known.
Taste: Exhibits a higher degree of fruit, developing wood notes with pronounced spice. Nose: A soft cooked fruit note glazed in brown sugar mingles with oak and grain, all underscored by a deep trace of vanilla. Finish: Pleasantly sweet with a pronounced oak that gradually fades into apple.
