Glenfiddich Project XX

The second launch of the Glenfiddich Experimental Series is the expression of Project XX, which was made not only by a Master of Malt, but by 20! 20 Malt Masters were invited to the Glenfiddich distillery and invited them to choose any expression from the thousands of barrels that matured in the warehouse. The 20 chosen whiskeys were then married - by Malt Master Brian Kinsman to create this unique malt that you see before your eyes. Long live teamwork!

Nose: It smells like a bit of a beastie, lots of notes of woody spices, caramel and orange peel. Clearly some serious barrel action going on here.

Palate: Lots of wood: cloves, cinnamon and vanilla with wooden tannins, all wrapped with some sweet chocolate notes.

Finish: Long and layered, with persistent notes of espresso and dark chocolate.
