More info

Obtained from the typical Vinhão grape variety produced in Ponte da Barca in the Lima sub-region with granitic soils, deep and poor in organic matter. The vineyards are on a half slope with exposure to the south and markedly Atlantic influence. The harvest takes place in October in order to guarantee a complete and perfect ripening of the grapes, while simultaneously preserving its particular acidity. These characteristics will thus accentuate the freshness and aromatic intensity of this variety.

Grapes harvested by hand in small boxes and transported to the winery in a short time. Total destemming. Short skin maceration.
Cold clarification 48h-72h. Long fermentation at low temperature: 14-18 ° C.

Test results:
Intense in color with purple reflection. Aromatic, alive and intense in fruits and wild flowers. It is very well in terms of balance. It has a lot of structure, strong in tannins, but without aggressiveness. It has a ripe fruit that complements the body and structure very well, making it pleasant.

Store and serve advice:
Serve at a temperature between 8 and 10º C.

Pairing with food:
Excellent as an appetizer or dish of mushrooms stuffed with bacon or lamprey rice.
