Quinta do Cume wine is born in the sunny hills of the ancient land of Provezende, a historic village located on the right bank of the Douro River, in the heart of the Douro Wine Region, demarcated and classified by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site since 2001. Jorge Tenreiro, surgeon by profession, always in love with the Douro, he chose Provezende for the realization of a dream, which brought together all the characteristics for an excellent wine: the rugged terrain, the schistous soil, the proximity to the water, an ideal sun exposure and altitude (600m for white wines) and the lower vines of provezende for reds, in short a terroir that gives it unrivaled oenological properties. Own wine cellar with current technology, allows the chosen winemaker Jean-Hugues-Gros to make quality wines.
