The grapes, from the Vinha Maria Teresa vineyard plot, are sent to the winery in 22 kg boxes. Upon arrival at the winery, they are strictly inspected at a table of choice. The grapes are then completely destemmed and crushed in traditional stone tanks ('lagares'). After that, the juice is transferred to temperature controlled stainless steel tanks. After alcoholic fermentation, the juice is gently pressed. About 20 months in new oak barrels (90% French oak; 10% American oak). The final wine is made from a selection of the best barrels.
Deep ruby color. The nose impresses for its extraordinary freshness and complexity, presenting elegant notes of rock starch, wild fruits and spices. In the mouth it is compact and seductive, with smooth texture tannins that are in perfect harmony with retronasal notes that resemble fresh aromas of wild fruits.
