WINEMAKER: Luis Sottomayor
VARIETIES: 35% Tinta Roriz, 30% Tinta Barroca, 20% Touriga Franca, 15% Touriga Nacional
TASTING NOTES: Ruby color. Aroma of good intensity, with notes of red fruits, such as strawberry and cherry, floral, violet and rock rose, slightly balsamic, resin, cedar and tobacco box. In the mouth it has a smooth attack, tannins present but well polished, well matched acidity and a good harmony finish.
VINIFICATION: Created at Quinta do Seixo, it is still mostly vinified on that same farm today, from grapes from the our farms and also grapes from the surrounding areas of higher altitude. After gentle crushing and destemming, the grapes are sent to stainless steel vats, where alcoholic fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature.
MATURATION: Remains in stainless steel vats, after malolactic fermentation. At the end of winter, it is subjected to the first racking, with sediment separation. The final blend is made based on the selection of wines, resulting from the numerous tastings and analyzes, carried out throughout the maturation. In order to preserve the highest quality, it is bottled after careful finishing. All of its technology is oriented towards the goal of consumption in a "young stadium".
SAVE: For those who appreciate the youthful characteristics of a Douro wine, you can drink it now, although it benefits from a 2 to 3 year aging period, however remaining at its best for about 4 to 6 years.
SERVING: Up to the 2nd year you do not need any special care, however from that date it is recommended that the bottle should be placed 'high' the day before and decanted before being consumed. Serve between 15ºC-17ºC.
ENJOY: Ideal to accompany meat, fish and pasta dishes with light seasonings.
