The Cistus Concilium Douro DOC originates in the Douro Superior and was made with the following grape varieties: Tinta Roriz (60%), Touriga Franca (36%) and Touriga Nacional (4%). Vinification was done in stainless steel vats with temperature control. After a short post-fermentative maceration, the wine is aged. Glued with egg whites, and after light filtration, the blend was bottled on August 7, 2017. The wine was subjected to 22 months in new French oak barrels. Oenologist Manuel Angel Areal, this wine goes well with game, red and cured cheeses.
