It presents itself with a beautiful color, slightly violet. The intense aromas are dominated by red fruits, floral notes (violet) and spices. Intense and with a very characteristic profile, it is a persistent wine, with a fresh and long finish.
The harvest took place in September. With careful selection in the vineyard, the grapes were totally destemmed and crushed. After cold pre-fermentative skin contact for 48 hours, fermentation took place in stainless steel vats at a controlled temperature with a total maceration of more than 40 days but without major extractions.
The wine was transferred to stainless steel vats where malolactic fermentation took place and then passed directly to 500 liter French oak barrels for the first, second and third uses, where it aged for a period of 12 months.
Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Amarela and Tinta Roriz.
Bafarela Reserva is an amazing wine that goes very well with traditional Portuguese cuisine, a variety of meats, cheeses and flavored pastas. Try it as an aperitif with cured and spicy cheeses. It should open a little before being consumed so that it breathes and develops at its best. Over time, it can create sediment requiring decanting. Serve between 17ºC - 18ºC.
The bottle should be kept horizontally, in a cool, dry place, protected from light.
Alcohol: 14.00% Vol.
