Test results:
Intense and charged color. Distinct aroma of great intensity and complexity with floral notes. In the mouth it has good amplitude and precision, seductive, with evident fruit very focused on the floral, has a good structure with dense but fine tannins. It stands out in the tasting more for its freshness than for its concentration, the finish is long, seductive and persistent.
Winemaking:
The harvest took place in September with a careful selection of grapes in the vineyard. The destemming was complete and the crushing controlled. He had a pre-fermentative skin contact at low temperatures for 48 hours. Fermentation took place in stainless steel vats at a controlled temperature and the maceration with moderate extraction lasted for more than 40 days. In new stainless steel vats the wine underwent malolactic fermentation and immediately went into French oak barrels (500 liters) where it aged for 12 months.
Varieties:
Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca and Tinta Roriz.
Consumption Suggestions:
Bafarela Grande Reserva is an amazing wine that gains from being opened some time before being consumed. Its elegant and complex profile combines ideally with good meats, game and intense cheeses. If stored for a few years, it is natural that sediment will form in the bottle, and should be opened carefully and decanted for better appreciation. Servile between 16º-17ºC.
Guard conditions:
The bottle should be kept horizontally, in a cool, dry place, protected from light.ela Grande Reserva Red 2018
