It combines the best of two regions. This edition results from the union of 60% of a blend of wines from the Douro region, produced in Quinta de Nápoles from very old vineyards, one of which is over 120 years old and 40% from a blend of wines from the Dão region, produced at Quinta da Pellada also from old vines and grapes typical of the region - Tourigo, Jane, Alfrocheiro and Tinta Roriz. the fermentation of the Dão batch was carried out in mills and aged in French oak barrels, where malolactic fermentation took place. The Douro grapes were partially fermented in small stainless steel vats (20%) and partly in traditional stone presses, where the grapes were gently trodden with pre-fermentative maceration. After 10 days of fermentation, the wine aged 21 months in French oak barrels, where malolactic fermentation took place. The final blend was bottled without any fine.
Touriga Franca, Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz, Tinta Amarela, Tourigo, Jaen, Alfrocheiro
Doda has a beautiful deep ruby color. Spring aroma, with fresh floral notes and fruits in a harmonious but more lively and expressive set. In the mouth, strong and with good volume, it is very involving and deep. Tannins are present, but well integrated, structured and with a mineral profile. The taste is long, fleshy and full of fruit. A pleasant wine when young, due to its robustness, although long and healthy aging is expected in the cellar.
