Grapes from vineyards planted in clay-schist soils,
with an average age of 40 years, in the Beira Interior plateau in the
river basin in the heart of the Douro Natural Park
International, at an altitude above 750 meters.
We selected the best Tinta Roriz grapes perfectly
adapted to the altitude and depending on the years varying quantities
Touriga Nacional and Jaen complete the lot, giving
complexity and elegance.
VINIFICATION
Manual harvest, reception with total destemming and crushing of
immediate. Fermentation between 22 - 26 ºC for about 7 days
with soft maceration in cement tanks, maceration using
the classic “delestage” technique, about 3 to 4 per fermentation,
malolactic fermentation in used barrels.
INTERNSHIP
14 months aging in 300 Lts American oak barrels
extra fine grain.
