Grapes are hand-picked into small boxes; from a single harvest, its vinification is processed according to the traditional method of Port Wine. After partial de-stemming, the grapes are crushed in stone presses with foot treading. The must fermentation takes place at controlled temperature and is interrupted by the addition of brandy. This wine, as it is produced, has a great aging potential.
Touriga Franca (45%), Touriga Nacional (45%), Tinta Roriz (10%)
Aging in large wooden vats, it can be bottled between the 2nd and the 3rd year. Provided it is kept in ideal conditions, it has the potential to age in bottle for over 30 years.
It can be consumed immediately if you enjoy the potency of the fruit, but with enormous potential for aging in the bottle. It goes very well with strong cheeses, such as our Queijo da Serra and Azeitão, Stilton, Roquefort and Danish Blue. Also, after the meal, with sweets and chocolates as well as cigars. Unfiltered wine. Once opened, it can be consumed on the same day, like any great wine on guard. After decanting, the wine will open and reach its peak, then gradually lose its freshness, significantly altering the tasting notes. Should be consumed between 14º C to 16º C.
