The Douro Boys have established a clear objective: to allow dry Douro wines to reach a level of recognition appropriate to their inherent quality and to position them on an equal footing with Port Wine. And so, they embarked on this path to place the Douro Valley where it belongs on the world wine map, without discarding the positive effect they will have on the image of Portuguese wines in general.
For many, 2017 is the best year of Vintage Port of all time. Each of the Douro Boys chose their most promising batch from the 2017 harvest, and together they created a Vintage Port that will probably make history. It is extremely complex, concentrated and at the same time an impressive harmony. A very seductive Port and difficult to resist opening the bottle now - but this Vintage Port has the potential to age for many decades, and is definitely aimed at the following generations of oenophiles. The bottling took place at Quinta do Vallado and only 350 Magnums were produced.
