Niepoort's first Quinado was launched in the 1950s and was a wine made from Tawnys in which quinine was added and later sent overseas in order to serve as a remedy for malaria.
This wine represents the revival of the old Niepoort tradition of making Quinado Wine.
We made a blend using a Quinado Wine with younger and fresher characteristics with a small amount of Quinado Wine from the 1950s and 1970s, rich in concentration and body, which we found in our Serpa Pinto warehouse.
The taste is unique, and can be enjoyed with lots of ice, pure, tonic water, Gin, sparkling water or with slices of fruit.
