The history of Favaios is lost in time. Its name comes from "Flávius", ancient Roman settlement, which belonged to the land of Panoías. And its development followed the Dynasties. It is in this village since 1952, in the Douro Demarcated Region, that Adega Cooperativa de Favaios has become one of the largest and most recognized in the country in particular for the unmistakable quality of its Aperitivo and Moscatel de Favaios. The development of this village is largely due to wine, which played a huge role in the local economy and architecture. Attentive to increasing market demands and existing internal needs, normal in structures dating from 1952, Adega de Favaios, decided to invest in the modernization and revitalization of the infrastructures of Adega Cooperativa de Favaios, currently with more than 550 members.
