Citadelle reserve gin is the only gin in the world matured for 6 months in oak casks. It wonderfully combines the freshness and complexity of the normal Citadelle Gin with the refinement of drinks aged in oak casks. The Master Destiller does not consider gin ready for bottling until it reaches a perfect balance between freshness and barrel aging. This 2010 Vintage is a beautiful pale gold color. It shows subtle and delicate floral notes, accompanied by violet, iris and spicy notes. It also features flavors of flowers, cinnamon with a touch of wood. The sweet and spicy aroma of juniper, citrus and star anise are very present in both aroma and flavor. The finish is long as only an aging barrel can provide. A gin that can be perfectly enjoyed pure. The complexity of the Citadelle Reserve Gin facilitates the creation of a gin and tonic: just add a lemon peel with a neutral-tonic water.
