Despite all the difficulties found at the agronomic level, the qualitative potential of the wines of the 2018 harvest is extremely high, this being caused by calm maturation and with reduced water stress due to the high levels of precipitation. This gave rise to fresh musts with good acidity, which is perfectly balanced with a good structure.
Meandro 2018, has excellent color, very vivid. Floral aromas combined with red and wild fruits. Fills the mouth with intense fruit notes, showing a very fresh and complex prolonged aftertaste. This wine needs to age to bring its black fruits in full harmony with the structure. Wait to drink it until 2023 and serve it with red meat or other special meat dishes or soft cheeses.
Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca and Tinta Roriz grape varieties represent 85% of the composition of this wine, which also includes Tinta Amarela, Tinta Barroca, Tinto Cão. The grape varieties are vinified separately in both granite presses and fermentation vats. It ages for 14 months in second and third year barrels.
